PROPLUS CRASH AND DATABASE RESTORE

HI 

MY PRO+ crashed and after recovery i saw that deltav explorer couldn't connect to database server i checked database administrator server was running  i tried to rerun the proplus workstation but again same issue occured

.so i tried again to create new database from fhx and import it to my database when import finished i saw that some module under some controller need download .i have to say that database i have restored was the latest database i do n't know what is the problem and why they needs download. i hvae to say my plant is completely in service .

  • Hi Samy,

    The reason everything in your control network shows as needing a download is because of the process you most likely used to restore your crashed Pro+. During the process, the POWERUP directory was either lost or disassociated with the database.

    IF before the crash all of your controllers were up to date and didn't require any downloads, then I would contact Emerson support. There is a method to eliminate the blue triangles in a situation like this, but it is best if you have support talk you through that process.
