I have a corrupt database and want to import the database from the daily automatic backup file. When I import the database DeltaV indicates that I need to download the entire Control Network. This is not an option when the facility is running. Is there a procedure to do an import without requiring a download?
I went through this a couple of weeks ago same thing happened to me. I ended up calling up our support group and they went and did the same steps I did to get the backup and renamed it a different name again and all of the little blue triangle went away.
You will need to download the Pro Plus at a minimum to resync the DB.
You can perform a piecemeal download of each controller as it becomes available for such activities.
Get your historians and batch executive downloaded sooner than later.
For controllers, start by downloading setup data on each. That should be innocous.
More rigorous download can be performed when ready.

I had a corrupt database and was able to go through a create and import database and did not have to download any modules, just update download status. I would recommend you contact Emerson Tech support for specific directions. One check box forces you to download all modules and the same box unchecked does not force the download.
