DeltaV Analyze Scheduled Report - Interactive User

DeltaV Analyze 4.1

I can't seem to get the DeltaV Analyze scheduled reports to save unless an interactive user is logged in.

The activity database seems to imply that reports run, but they are not saved.

I've checked that the account that I create the report under has access to the report path.

Any ideas?

  • Change the Identity of the Microsoft Excel Application DCOM object to either:
    • The launching user or “This user”
    • Then input the valid user account and password
    That should address the situation.
  • We have the exact same problem and the GSC have been working on this for months since we upgraded from 11.3.1 when Analyze worked to 13.3.1. We are in a domain and use Excel 2016 and can manually generate but files aren't generated via the schedule. I have done the following without success;

    - DCOM settings Identity is changed to “This Launching User”
    - DCOM Settings General is changed to “None”
    - MessengerDVUser has Full Control Rights (Read/Write Access) to DeltaV Analyze Folder

    Note: changing the DCOM identity from Interactive to Launching prevents you from generating manually.

    We have also had rare instances when reports have randomly generated via the schedule but not at the set time or date.

    I have never seen the report scheduling miss like you described.

    Authentication Level := None
    Identity := Launching User
    Domain Messenger Users Group has Local and Remote Launch and Activation Permissions

    Same usergroup needs full access to the share/folder where you are asking Analyze to export the reports.
