DeltaV Analyze - Report Timings

Hi,

I'm currently have several Alarm Statistics reports based on various shifts.

What determines when the report runs?

e.g. I have a scheduled report based on a "Morning" shift (06:00 - 14:00) however, the report is generated at 15:22. I expected the report to run as soon as the shift "ended". This happens on all the reports I have i.e. 1400 - 23:00 runs at 23:22 etc.

I can't find anywhere else within the Administration pages to set when the report runs, other than how the "Plant Shift" is defined.

  • In our system we launch "DeltaV Analyze Administration" from the start menu. It opens in a browser window and prompts for credentials.
    One of the settings is for the "Service Configuration". When we drill down here there is a section for "DeltaV Analyze System" which has a setting for "Data Collection and Processing Frequency". Ours is set to 30 minutes. Perhaps yours is set to 60 minutes.
    I don't know all the workings of the "Analyze" report generation service, but I'm guessing it's impractical to be churning through the database constantly.

    I've checked the "Data Collection and Processing Frequency" and it's set at 30 minutes.

    I still would have imagined the reports to run at period end + Data Collection and Processing Frequency.

    I have reduced the Data Collection and Processing Frequency to 15 minutes and will monitor the effect.
