Do we require a separate DeltaV "Excel Add in" License for a Pro Plus in DeltaV 13.3 to do Excel Reporting for few Historian tags using DeltaV Reporter. As we don't have a separate Application System in DeltaV Network.
As per Emerson, DeltaV OPC Server and DeltaV Excel Add-in license should not exist on the same system.if you intend to use OPC data access server license for deltav excel addin , then you can read only 250 points on proplus.Below the extract from the datasheet:-
The DeltaV Excel Add-in can be assigned to any DeltaV workstation type, enabling access to 500 items on the OPC Data Access Server.
For Professional Plus and Application Stations the DeltaV Excel Add-in and the DeltaV OPC Data Access Server licenses are mutually exclusive
(i.e. these licenses cannot reside on the same workstation). The DeltaV Excel Add-in license includes a 500 item OPC Data Access Server
license and the OPC Data Access Server license includes the DeltaV Excel Add-in functionality. If the OPC Data Access Server license is used to
provide the DeltaV Excel Add-in functionality, the DeltaV Excel Add-in has access to all the OPC items available in the OPC Data Access Server
license (e.g. 250 items on the Professional Plus and up to 30,000 items on the Application Station).
