Hello,
I would like to setup a DeltaV standalone computer at a PLC vendor location to test our DCS graphics and modbus connection.
We currently have DeltaV version 11.3 at the plantwide site. We have PLC contractor who will upgrade one of our PLC that with interface with our DeltaV system for controls via Modbus
Once the upgrade is complete, I would like to go the contractor facility to test the PLC program at a DeltaV station.
Here is the list of items I need to bring to vendor shop: (please help me with the list.)
1. DeltaV MD controller
2. Modbus serial interface card
3. DeltaV software
Am I missing anything else besides the DCS modules and graphics.
Thanks

Thank you for responding.
Our ProPlus is on a server in a server rack, so that will difficult to transport.
Can I install DeltaV software on my laptop?
Thank you,

Thank you Matt,
The dongle is attached to the ProPlus server. Can I remove it and use it with a new DeltaV license?
Thanks,

Tracy Waller said:You can install DeltaV on a laptop. Move your dongle from the current Pro+ to your test Pro+. You won't need a "new" license, just download your current licenses from Guardian. When you fire up Explorer, it'll see your dongle and you can load the licenses. Then you can create a placeholder for your controller with I/O and assign the controller. Note that you won't be able to use the "current" DeltaV setup while the dongle is moved to the "test" DeltaV.
Thank you Tracy,
If I remove the dongle from the Pro+, will my existing Pro+ (and other DeltaV Stations) still function normally?
Regarding the licenses, I can use my existing license for other DeltaV install on new machines? Will using my licenses on another new machine effect the existing licenses currently being used for normal operations?
I apologize in advance for simple questions.
