We are using a VIM2 card to communicate with several Emerson 700XA Gas Chromatographs. The protocol is Modbus TCP/IP. The datasets show good integrity in Diagnostics, however then I look at Dataset Registers all values are zero. The analyzer actually shows reasonable values. A discrete dataset does bring in alarms, so I am sure we are communicating. I am using device type and special data settings to pull in floating point data that have worked with other installations, however they are not working this time. I have tried various combinations of to no avail. Some settings even result in bad integrity and no communications. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try to get this system going?
