Profibus DP cards failure ( Red LED flashing)

Hi,

I am experiencing a lot of failure with Profibus DP cards, I diagnosed my Profibus DP segments, they seems to be good but I keep loosing Profibus DP cards (Flashing RED) for an unknown reason. Is there someone who may have experienced a similar issue and can assist with some troubleshooting idea ?

  Hi Francis,

  What troubleshooting did you do? (provide more detail on the issue you are having)

  Can you attach images of your findings?

  According to books online DV 12.3 version (see image below - and try those corrective measures).

  

  Have you applied any of the above?

  My first troubleshooting ideas, were oriented to an external fault to the DP cards, like a short circuit on the profibus DP segment or a faulted slave dropping my bus. So I diagnosed my profibus segments using Profitrace 2.9 for any probable fault on the segments. Nothing major find, the bus was good. So I started think about an internal card fault, still I don't understand why I keep loosing my DP cards on different controllers
  
  I even contacted my Emerson representative, they agree with me that the cards shipped to them were faulted but could not tell me what could be the root cause, so the only thing I keep doing is whenever I loose a card a just replace it, whilst I keep looking for the reason of being this.
  Another observation I made, most of the cards failing have the same HwRev 44.6 and SwRev 1.45. It just unconfortable situation of loosing cards for a reason that I am still not find
