AMS Device Manager unable to connect to device

We have DeltaV 11.3.1 with AMS 11.5 installed on the application station as a Plus Station. All was working OK.

AMS PlusStation is installed on STL010 (DeltaV Application station)
All other DeltaV stations have AMS client installed.

We today upgraded AMS 11.5 to 13.5


Uninstalled AMS 11.5 from STL010 (DeltaV App Station)
Uninstalled AMS 11.5 from STL001 (DeltaV ProPlus Station)
Installed AMS Plus Station 13.5 to STL010 (DeltaV App Station)
Installed AMS Client 13.5 to STL001 (DeltaV ProPlus)
Restored License.dat file
Restored AMS 11.5 database which auto migrated to AMS 13.5

We are now unable to connect to any of our field devices via AMS device manager, getting message 'unable to connect to device'

Any ideas anyone please

  • If this in a domain , you might want to install AMS DM client SC on the ProPlus station first then install AMS DM Servers Plus station on the App station next. This will allow the trust between the two stations. Don’t forget to configure your DeltaV Network Configuration and Client station as well as download your DeltaV ProPlus to get your DeltaV sync.
