  • There a number of situation that could result in this message.
Just some thoughts of things you need to check:
    1) are your DeltaV Analog channels are enabled as HART channels, downloaded, then auto sensed for HART devices
    2) where are you getting the error message? AMS server plus or client?
    3) have you try doing a SCAN All on the AMS Server Plus
    4) what version of AMS and DeltaV are you using?
I can help trouble shoot if I can get a little more info

Thank you so much for help. We are in the middle of start-up and commission as well. So I/E technician needs AMS for troubleshooting.

    1. Yes

    2. I see Error on client RTS1. I have not tried Pro+ or AMS Server to try and connect to device. I will try now.

    3. No have not try to Scan All. Can I do this from the RTS1?

    4. AMS 12.5.000.106 and DeltaV 11.3.1

Thank you so much for your help and guidance.

    Thank you,

I just notice in the AMS Device Manager when I connect to AMS from RTS1.

http://i.imgur.com/9fuYtjT.png Do you know how to make AMS run on RTS1?

When I look at DeltaV desktop, it shows AMS is running http://i.imgur.com/aowCiLl.png

    Thanks

I am assuming you are referring these RTS1 and RTS2 stations. These are Remote Terminal Service client stations. If these are client stations, please read the InstallationGuide.pdf file that comes with your AMS DVD. There are some specific procedures to get this working. This is a mix of Emerson license and Microsoft license that you need to have and some specific steps that need to be follow as well as having the right OS updates. I also recommend you contact ASKPSS or Emerson Global Service center so they can direct you to a best solution.

I also have a similar kind of problem. Previously, I could see all my devices (HART Enabled) on my network in AMS suite. But none of them was responding. I tried scan all the devices, and as a result now I cannot see any of my devices. Any suggestions regarding the next steps would be a great help.
