DeltaV Operate color lookup table

I'm using DeltaV version 13.3.1.

In DeltaV Operate, I need to modify a dynamo, in order to get appropriate colors.

I dublicated an existing custom lookup table, in order to modify the colors accordingly to project needs and stored the new one in folder Globals/User.

How can I save this new table or export/import it into another system? I didn't find a equivalent file in the PIC folder.

What is the correct way to save those customized items before next update to higher version happen?

Thanks.

  • On the DeltaV_Utilities Toolbar (Menu Workspace->Toolbars, Check the box for DeltaV_Utilities) the last button is Duplicate Color Table and will let you select the table and copy it to User.

Probably the question wasn't precisly enough. I already duplicated the table, but how can I safe this customized table apart from the origin ones? I need to assure, that this customized stuff is available, even when the system will be updated to a higher version or I need to implement this table to a different system. There is no export function available and in the filesystem, I can't find the specific file, where this table is inlcuded.

All the items in User are saved into a single User.fxg file in the Pic directory and won't be lost on migration (as long as it gets put back on after upgrade) as it should be treated just like a normal process graphic. The product doesn't put any information into that file so you are safe with not losing your work.
  • For any customisation, use USER.fxg file. In any upgrade or migration, overwrite the customised USER.fxg file.
There are VBA functions available to import / export the global items from .fxg files. One has to make use of available VBA functions and write custom scripts in operate.
    Hope that answered the query.
