steam tables

Hello,

I have a question about steam tables. What im trying to do, is look up the pressure of steam at a given steam temperature. I see they have a 'TSS' function block in the function block libraries, but from the looks of it, it calculates the steam temperature at a given steam pressure, and not the other way round. Unless I am mistaken or am overlooking something. I know I can calculate this, but have been told and advised to use the 'built-in' functionality that DeltaV already provides.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks!

  • Hello,

I guess you are looking for SST function block see below

Saturated Steam Properties - Given Temperature (SST) function block

The SST function block calculates the steam enthalpy, entropy, specific volume, and pressure for saturation conditions specified by a given temperature.

The block calculations apply to saturated steam. The calculation is limited to a temperature range of 32°F to 705.103°F (0 to 373.946°C).

Yes sir, I spoke too soon. Just saw this block myself too. Thanks for the help!
