The OPC Subsystem is missing on one of my APP stations in diagnostics. Licensing is fine (OPC 8000 parameters, OPC Remote services license). I can no longer connect remote clients. Any ideas?

I came back from vacation and noticed that the OPC Subsystem is non-existent on one of my APP stations (via Diagnostics). This has resulted in a couple of remote client applications not being able to connect. I've checked the licensing and rebooted multiple times. The station is online and can be downloaded. and I can ping it easily from the remote stations. It is a member of a Domain and everything from that end is intact Any ideas?

  • Check if frsopcdv is a process running on the app station. It probably won't launch due to a login error of the deltavadmin account (which you should ensure is not locked out through local Windows account management). Check Windows event logs(application and system) during reboot to see if information about the process is cited. Rerun workstation config if all investigation turns up nothing, and finally reinstall deltav and or Windows if all else fails.

Thanks Youssef. I reran Workstation Config this am, rebooted and now things are back to normal. I'm not sure what caused the problem though but I'll take a look at the error logs.
