I'd really strongly advise you to contact your local Emerson office for this question. Going from 10.3 to 12.3 is a change in operating system, and you have a lot more functional options (32-bit, 64-bit, mixed).

There were some very significant changes to licensing in 12.3, so your DST counts may change. Depending on your configuration, you may find that you are over-configured on some of the DST levels, so you may have to re-work your code, or purchase additional licensing.

There are also some licenses that do not transfer from 10.3 to 12.3, and Emerson has to re-generate them for you. You will also need to contact Emerson to obtain a Major Version License.

    Ray-
    Thanks
Its a old system which was shutdown from last 2 years because of some domestic reason. Now client want to use that same system for another facility also want to upgrade it to 12.3.
So Engineering point of view all Engineering need to be done again because that project is different.
New license will supply by Emerson. Now for Hardware I need to upgrade it.

If all you're looking for are hardware options, you can review the DeltaV Workstation Hardware product data sheet (http://www2.emersonprocess.com/siteadmincenter/PM%20DeltaV%20Documents/ProductDataSheets/DV_COL_PDS_WorkstationHardware.pdf).

A generalized installation procedure is located on Disc 2 of the 12.3 installation media (..\_Support\DVUpgrade.chm).
