Deltav database corubtion

I want to ask a question about database .

For example we lost our database and we have no backup .how we can make a database new database same as that is online ?

  • You cannot upload configuration from controllers. You need a comprehensive backup plan to ensure your configuration database, historical data, master copy of graphics are stored in off-site or at least off-system storage.

Deltav gives you a mechanism to auto export configuration daily, but a full backup implemented when changes are made is also a good idea.

To reverse engineer what you had before, you can sift through the powerup directory files on the proplus, but it will not be easy or comprehensive.

If the plant is still running, focus on getting the corrupt database fixed. Engage Emerson Advanced services and try to fix the corruption on another offline server to at least get an export.
  • In reply to Youssef.El-Bahtimy:

Like Youssef says there is no mechanism for uploading configuration similar to PLC's. The powerup folders give some information on what hs been downloaded. The database also is never entirely corrupt. It is composed of various containers that you can swap from a default database to see if that fixes it.

However on his point about Advanced services should be followed through as this is a task for a system expert.

Advice for now is to backup everything as is to stabilise your potential recovery position and get help from a system expert to see if there is any way to recover.

    Goo luck to you!
