DeltaV Operate and Schedules

What is the preferred method of activating custom schedules?  We have a custom schedule, but it doesn't seem to load with DV Operate Run, regardless of assigning it in the background startup files, it only seem to work if we manually open the schedule before switching to run mode.  Do schedules have to be called from initialization routines?  If so, which routines should I call it from? (this is a foreground schedule)

  • Adrian,

I assume by "background startup files" you are talking about using frsOpenUserSchedule "<Your Scheduler>.evs" in UserSettings.grf, this a correct assumption?

I have not done it in a long time but this method worked the last time that I tried it.

    Regards,

    Matt

  • Hi Matt,

The background I was referring to was in the User Preferences dialog / Background Startup.  Anyhow, you pointed me in the right direction, couldn’t see it for looking!

    Cheers once again.

    Hello Everybody,

how do I start a User Schedule?

    Kind regards

  • You need to add it to your usersetting.grf script (it is in the Standard directory) right click on the graphic edit script and then search for .evs
