DeltaV Scheduler

hi all, i'm using the DeltaV scheduler for the first time in 11.3.1

I'm trying to create an on-change event so when a new user logs into the workstation, the event is triggered and writes to a deltav module with a string parameter. i have 2 questions:

1) the vb code to use? 

2) using a simple vb script like 'msgbox"1" to test the event trigger, the event doesn't seem to trigger in the foreground with deltav operate running but does function if run in the background. Any ideas what may be preventing it running in the foreground or any diagnostics that i can do.

  If you add an ifix variable to the toolbar display that you are using on your system and link the current value to the datalink.caption for the current user, this would allow you to add a script when the variable changes that you can do.
  
  This might be a little more straight forward and most likely work the way you want instead of using the scheduler way.
