DeltaV Operate delay in starting

After making some minor changes to the mimics on a DeltaV 13.3.1 system I found that when I came to restart DeltaV Operate, there was a long (30s) delay before anything appeared. After that it seemed to behave normally. I am confident that it was to do with the changes, as I tried a workstation I hadn't updated and it was OK then immediately after applying the changes there was a delay. Originally I thought it must be due to the revised mimics but on further investigation it seems the delay is on initial start of iFix so there is a delay in entering configure mode but not in switching to Operate mode from Configure mode. Similarly on launching Operate mode the delay occurs before the brief appearance of the DeltaV Configure window (that always appears briefly before entering run mode). The 'reset layout' button is also not affected.

Anyone any idea what might be holding things up or where I might look? Does iFix do anything related to mimics automatically as it enters configure mode?  I haven't had a chance to look in the Windows event logs yet

  It could be a known issue. Go to graphics ifix tmp folder and delete all files in it. You probably have plenty file here.
  To solve the issue definitively , if I remember well there is a KBA explaining how to change access right of this folder

  Thanks for the reply. I've found a couple of KBAs NK-2000-0223 and NK-2000-0736 which refer to Color Set tmp files causing delays of 5 minutes. Is this what you were meaning? Even if not it looks like a promising area to look into.
