Hi,
the DeltaV Controller have practical three limitation.
1. DST count
2. Controller load
3. Memory
You can build what ever you want within these limits.
It depend on how your PID Control module is configured.
A good estimate can be done with the Load-Estimator.
You can install this programm from the DeltaV Installation DVD on your office PC.
Build your own modules there. If you have bigger Calc/Act/Cnd FB then multiply the count.
In that application is a table where for every FB is the exec time for each different controller saved.
So I guess, Emerson did some measuring and we can trust the result.
