Floboss FB107 with Modbus Gas Composition

Dear Emerson

We are trying our hand for the first time on Floboss FB107. We want to connect gas composition coming from DCS on Modbus TCP.  I understand that I have to receive concentration for each gas component in the Modbus Table and push it to specific device parameter under:

46-Meter Configuration Parameters>AGANEW1_Meter 1>Nitrogen and so on (please find the attached file)

Please confirm that can I send the un-normalized gas concentration to these parameters? My GC is only sending unnormalized concentration to us and that is what we have on Modbus TCP.

Will floboss normalize it by itself? If not then how to make it work?

    Hello,

    Yes, you can write un-normalized compositions to the FB107 fluid properties. In order to normalize you will want to ensure that "Log Methane Adjust" is enabled (it is enabled by default). This option can be found in the bottom right hand corner of the fluid properties configuration screen. Enabling this option will allow the FB107 to adjust methane's mol% so that the sum of all mols are 100% (normalized).
