Upgrade Proficy Machine Edition licenses from 9.5 to 9.8

My company is considering upgrading our Proficy Machine Edition license from 9.5 to 9.8. I'm trying to gather more info on what exactly is involved. Most importantly can we use 9.8 license with 9.5 program? Thanks in advance for any help!

    The PAC Machine Edition 9.8 license activation code can only be used with PAC Machine Edition 9.8. To activate version 9.5, you will need a legacy license.

    I recommend upgrading to PAC Machine Edition 9.8.

    Once upgraded you can open any older project and it will be upgraded to version 9.8.

    If you need to use the project with older versions of PAC Machine Edition prior to version 9.8, there is a project verison setting that you can use so that any project you download or save will also be compatible with that version of PAC Machine Edition.

    The project version setting supports current, 9.7, 9.5 and 9.0.
