Want to see something cool? It’s one thing to hear that Emerson’s new line of RXi industrial displays is modular and rugged, but it’s a lot more impressive to see it in action. In this video, Emerson’s John Margeson explains the three main categories of displays – the panel PCs, which are fully operating all-in-one computers, the web panel that is perfect for web-hosted applications, and the industrial monitor which can be connected to any industrial PC or daisy chained to another Emerson industrial monitor. John then goes on to show how in seconds, a 12-inch screen can be swapped for a 15-inch screen with the exact same backing unit – an example of the incredible level of modularity that the RXi product line offers. Then, to add to the impressive capabilities, John subjects one of the displays to a direct jet of water in much the same way that a plant might choose to hose down equipment at the end of operation.
