I will be instructing two half-day training sessions titled : Advantages of Using a Multi-Disciplined Controller (PLC) on Wednesday, September 25th.
The PACSystems Controller (PLC) provides a multi-disciplined industrial controller platform to meet the diverse requirements of Discrete, Process, Hybrid, and Motion control in a single controller unit. This training session provides an overview of the Controller System and Software Architecture, describing how to define re-usable application building blocks. This session includes opportunities to develop logic components using Ladder Diagram (LD), Structured Text (ST), and Function Block Diagram (FBD) programming languages using the Machine Edition Programming Software. The strengths of User Defined Function Blocks (UDFBs) for application components are also explored. Hands on exercises provide the opportunity to explore the Machine Edition diagnostics and debugging tools.
