Can two PK Controllers be connected and talk over Ethernet/IP ?

Looking for a solution to get data from one PK controller in one network to another PK Controller in a different  network over EtherNet/IP ( say treated as 3rd Party)?

  Unfortunately, as far as I know at this time, the PK Controller and EIOC only support acting as a Ethernet IP Scanner, not an adapter, so it would not be possible to connect two PK or EIOC's directly together without some sort of gateway that can act as an Ethernet IP Scanner in between.
