Profibus Card Status

Hi All,

Forgive me if this has been asked before, I am trying to display the port status of a profibus node on my graphic, I am using the following parameter :- CTRL7/IO1/C03/P01/STATUS I have used both A_ST and F_ST on my graphic and both options give me a value of 128.  I was hoping to find a named set (or create one) that converts the values to alpha numeric.  Is there a books online section that would tell me what the value(s) equates to?

  • If you go to the 'Search' tab of DeltaV Books Online and search for 'Constants', you will get a list of what the numerical values represent. I am not aware of a named set for this. Since the status is over a range of integers, you may want to do some configuration to set the range to equal one integer to make it an easier named set.

  • Hi I think I am looking at the correct status tag for my Profibus device how ever regardless of if the device is saying "GOOD", "BAD" or "NOT COMUNICATIONG" the value will always display 128, i am looking at the following for my specific device "DVSYS.CTRL8/IO1/C02/P01/DEV002/STATUS.F_ST" which i think is the status of the device OR "DVSYS.CTRL8/IO1/C02/P01/STATUS.F_CV" which i think is the status of the port. i am thinking that what i am looking at is not correct, can anyone help?
