Can anyone give me some examples of how they handle alarm shelving. We currently are trying to implement alarm management were our philosophy says that any priority that is either a warning or critical will need verification from a higher person other than the operator to shelve. So we just upgraded to v13.3.1 and I am having the same difficulties as I did with v12. Two of the big issues are the in order to do the verification process I was going to use electronic sig on the OPSUP parameter. Then enable the electronic sig per module that has either of those alarm priorities in it. Problem being that if I have a advisory along with either the warning or critical then that too would need verification. Second problem being is any faceplate or display that uses the alarm summary object bypass' the electronic sig verification and the operator could shelve the alarm with no verification.
