Extender cable: get longer extender cable for M-series.

Dear All.

I have a problem for extending cables from 8-wide Horizontal -carrier to 8-wide Horizontal carrier.

The max length of the extender cable is 1.5 m. 

How can I connect 2 these carriers if the distance between them is 2.2 meters?

Can I buy 2 x 1.5 extender cables and connect them by series connection type: 

the first 8-wide carrier <==> the first extender cable <==>the second extender cable <==>the second 8-wide carrier.

    We did a similar setup at our plant. Our observation was that extending the length using two extender skips the card location by eight (8) slots. When we auto sensed the cards their slot numbers were different than expected.
     
    For example: The cards at actual location 25, 26,27,28 were showing up as 33, 34, 35, 36 after auto sense.
