This needs to be an engineered solution. In our project libraries we have logic that generates an "ALERT" (Alarm that doesn't show on the alarm banner but in a different location on the banner, example pic shown below) on a module with the primary display configured. Then on the primary displays we have an activeX prompt control that can be displayed when a prompt is active. Clicking the configured ActiveX alarm summary filtered for the Prompt "ALERT" on the alarm banner would then open the primary control display where the prompt can be answered without going to the batch prompts screen.

If auxiliar pictures area is available, it is possible to create a pic containing ActiveX Batch Prompts control that fits on auxiliar pics area. In this way, list of batch prompts is always present regardles opened main picture.

Yes this is will work but you may have distortions (Text and Lines) on your main graphics depending on how they were originally setup and how the layout is configured.

I was assuming you were taking advantage of the entire screen for the operator graphics and keeping this functionality.

Using templates for main grapics with smaller resolution than monitor allows to do that without distortion. There are sevelar combinations:
- Picture 1280x1024, monitor 1680x1050 resolution, horizontal space for auxiliar pics (right side) will be 400
- Picture 1280x1024, monitor 1920x1080 resolution -> 640
- Picture 1680x1050, monitor 1920x1080 resolution -> 240
Vertical differces may be tunned on layout file (unnoticeably distortion or grey "gaps" between toolbas, main pic and alarm banner)
Of course, for selecte pic/monitor resolution size of BatchPrompts auxiliary picture must be different (you may end up with several versions of that picture). Layout files should be different as well.

When maximum resolution is a must for main graphics (no auiliary area available) there is still an option. Having 1920x1080 monitor resolution, use of a 1280x1024 toolbar will provide an auxiliary pic space on right top corner. On that area, batch prompts auxiliary pic may be placed (will provide space to view only a couple of prompts)

How do I make a column maintain full extension? i.e. how to show the entire description when going to operate configure rather than having to double click on the column to show the entire description each time I go into operate configure.

Is there by any chance a way to only show prompts that are applicable to the picture its in? Right now it shows all prompts universally, it would be nice to only show the ones that are concerning that particular picture graphic.
