Wireless gateway RS-485

I've heard we can use wireless gateway as a RS-485 host. I mean we can connect RTU devices to wireless gateway and transfer datasets to DeltaV system. Is this correct? has somebody worked on this?

  The host part means you can communicate to the wireless gateway using a Modbus interface (Serial RS485), the gateway collates data from wireless devices and provides data to a Modbus host. It does not allow you to connect a Modbus RTU device to DeltaV wirelessly.
  
  You can use other devices (MOXA, Lantronix, etc.) to haul serial Modbus devices via wifi, but this is not that kind of device.
