Controller Set-up Data Download on running plant

Hi All,

is it safe to perform controller set-up data download on running plant? FGS/SIS Controllers.

  Yes, we have done it multiple times.
  Expect a long download time and stop any other configuration work before downliad.

  It is typically safe to download controller setup data. However, in very rare instances, some references to Named Set values by character string instead of by integer value in hold monitor expressions can trip an individual Equipment module or sequence. I have seen this in only one plant site in all of the years that I've been doing DeltaV.
