When I recently attempted to install some DeltaV hotfixes, I found that I could not run EXE files simply by double clicking on the file as I had in the past. I found that I could browse to them at the command prompt and execute them. I am finding that some other EXE files are not able to be run either by double clicking or by running them from the command prompt. What has changed to cause this behavior? I do know that I recently installed an updated batch of Emerson approved MS patches (through February 2016) on my machines. I have found that there is an unblock button on some EXE files that can be selected and will then allow them to work. I do not find this unblock button on all EXE files though. Any insight would be appreciated.
