Unable to delete an entry in a named set despite removing all reference to the entry in control modules

I have a named set with 3 entries, which are used in logic and on a display to allow the operator to select a destination tank for a transfer.

One tank is no longer in service and needs to be removed from the named set.

Despite removing all uses of the entry in logic modules, I cannot delete it from the named set.

There are still a number of parameters using the named set, but not set to that particular entry.

Obviously, these need to remain in place for the two entries that are still valid.

Has anybody had experience of something similar and can detail exactly what steps are required to allow me to delete just the one entry?

  Are you sure you want to remove it? Why not just mark that entry not visible and not selectable?

  You can't delete it untill all of the references to it have been removed.
  Do the suggestion by Daniel to allow you the time to go thru and remove all the references.
  Once they are gone you should be able to delete the entry.
