Problem during control studio reopening.

I am using delta v 11.3.1

I am facing a problem while reopening of control studio.

This problem is only for 3 nos of modules

Case-1

Once the module opened in offline/edit mode and closed it,

If I open it again then the control studio is found to be working normally.

Case-2

Once the module is opened in online/debug mode and closed then,

If I open it again the studio is showing the message Module being updated by administrator (in detail- unable to register to update an item)

I did following activities for primary checks

1) Checked database connections after closing the module.

It showing control studio is running. I disconnected it and try to open the module

It open once only and again shown the same error

2) checked CPU utilization.

Found normal like 5-8%

3) I have 3 GB RAM With a system.

4) Also checked the value of that particular module in opcwatchit and it showing "Good"

5) Cleaned and even extended cleaned the database

6) Delete the module from database and create a new one but still it gives a same message

7) Also installed updated hotfix

8) Closed cs.exe in Windows  task manager.

9) Restart and download whole the system

Please suggest the solution for it.

  • I'm assuming that you're only opening the modules on the one node, and that they are not open on other workstations?

    You may have a corrupt Objectivity/DB database instance. A restart of the database server may fix this problem. Shutdown and restart the DeltaV Database Server from the Database Administration Utility.

    If you're still having issues, export the whole database as an FHX. Create a new database container in the Database Administration Utility, change the active database to the new one, and run Workstation Configuration. Import the FHX, download the ProfessionalPLUS node, and try to open the modules.

    If issues persist after this, I would strongly recommend getting Emerson Technical Support involved.
