Using an SMC Flex soft motor starter with DeviceNet

Anyone had experience with these?  I can't seem to get them to show up on diagnostics.   I've checked the address, the baud, 24V power on the unit, ect...   Normally with a devicenet device, if you turn off I/O polling and download the placeholder, it will allow you to check in diagnostics what you have at that particular address, and allow you to change the EDS file used.  This particular device will not talk period.  I don't even have extra DEV01, DEV02 devices showing up on the network.  Anybody got an idea?

  Hello Tracy, I did run into this situation a very long time ago. How I got out of that state was to disable my DeviceNet port, Download, enable my port, and download. Went to Diagnostic and did a rescan port. Give this a try when you system is in a down state bc it will take down your segment and bring it back up. The last resort would be to flash the card and download. What is your Controller version and DeviceNet card fw info? My guest is someone is throwing garbage into the segment and causes this.
