VIM2 connection to EATON VFD (powerXL DG1) and Starter (C441v)

I have used VIM2 to connect to Rockwell VFDs and E300 without issues in the past. However in a recent project, the MCC vendor has decided to use VFDs and ethernet module (for starters) from EATON. I went to their website to get the latest EDS and configured the assembly instances per their manual, but I am not getting any connections.

I reached out to guardian support and they verified that it is not on the VIM2 side and ask me to go back to the EATON tech support.  The EATON tech support says it's the VIM2.   Anyone have experience can chime in with Class 1 Implicit connection between VIM2 and EATON hardware would be greatly appreciated.

  • Update: It is communicating now. The CIP Err indicates the specific data type must be 8-bits. I was trying to split 16-bit into 2 and hence the Error.
