Extract data from DeltaV

Good Day to All [:)]

I would like ask a few question regarding on how can we extract data from DeltaV to Excel. The data I would like to collect and make a trend for it are

- BatchID from the DVHisDB that can be plot into trend.

- Tag that are from the database that also can be plot into trend.

My site using DeltaV Ver 7.4.1

Thanks.

  • Moving forward, you can assign continuous historization of the UNIT/BATCH_ID  parameter.   Using DeltaV Excel Reporter, you can then have a table of the batch ID for a unit which can be made into a trend in excel.  The following is a link to the v7.4.1 BOL article on the Continuous Historian Excel Add In (the legacy name of DeltaV Reporter)

If you need to go back in time before the BATCH_ID parameter was assigned for continuous historization,  you could use your event chronicle (which in v.7.4.1. is a mdb jet database), to list events for phase execution (as the batch ID is listed for DESC1).  Excel can very easily import or connect to mdb jet databases.

Filter against events where  Module = UnitModuleName, Parameter = */BSTATUS,  State = COMPLETE
