Profibus DP card Communication Lost after every 2-3 mins

Hello Everyone,

    Version DeltaV10.3.2

I am facing problem on Profibus DP card, after each 2 to 3 mins Redundant Card of PRofibus Shows  Error on PHV    "REDIO :card No Comm ; Cardc3"

when this error comes Red led Blinks for 6 to 10 sec then automatically gets Cleared. before this issue comes card were working ok since  installation of Deltav

When I switch Redundancy of Card from Diagnostics ,i get same issue of Redundant cards which is active card previously.

I have checked Cards on Different Ctrl but  not Showing any Issue like this.

is it some Communication problem?,6 devices are present on This Profibus card and only one port is used.

pls help me to solved this problem.

  Hi,
  check the terminal block.
  disconnect the profibus cable and check for errors.
  Delete the redundancy errors from the card in diagnostics by pressing right mouse.. "delete errors"
  check the supply and see if there is any additional information in diagnostics.

  edit. check that the card/controller has the right software version

  you told that the cards were functioning in a other controller?
  If so the the cards are probably OK.
  Have you tried to change the DV-terminal? Also check that the pins are fine and no one of them are bent.
  Check the fiber optics for any channel cross-connections a->b instaed of a->a
  Is the supply correct in both ends, DV and converter...?
  Some times if one of the slaves (usually end-beginning of chain) loses it´s power it will drop the whole bus. (you can use active end resistor to correct this)
  Does the cards beside the Profibus work in the controller?

  This seems like a terminator situation or your Profibus topology. I would check the terminator on the DeltaV term block first to see if you have enable it(In position) and the end device terminator. Missing one of these terminator will give you intermittent communication issue to the card. The topology is a little more tricky since you have a fiber converter in the mix. What type is the converter are you using? I know that Emerson tested and approved the Stahl fiber converter and I have used it with not issue. Back to the topology, go to the Profibus.com and read up on the proper installation and verify.
