1. Have you enabled the port? 2. Have you configureda device and dataset? 3. Have you configured one to be the master, the other to be the slave? 4. Have you configured the protocol (speed, RTU/ASCII, databits etc) to be the same at both sides? 5. Have you connected the earthing wire on ONLY ONE side? 6. full or half duplex possibility depends on the amount of wires (4 or 2). -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: arifin [mailto:bounce-arifin@community.emerson.com] Verzonden: zaterdag 24 mei 2014 12:40 Aan: DeltaV@community.emerson.com Onderwerp: RE: [EE365 DeltaV Track] Conecction Siemen s-7 300 to Delta-V Serial Dear Adrian, Thank you for your respond , We already use the CP converter. Another question: Does it support full duplex and half duplex of RS485 ? For the wiring, in which terminal I must put the incoming cable from CP card to DeltaV serial card series 2? I already tried based on books online, but the still cannot communicate. Is there any tips and trick on how we must connect? Please advice. In reply to arifin:
HI,
- have you crossed the A-B in the other side?
- Do you have the end resistors ON or OFF?
- Have you programmed the initiate block in S7 to configure the port.
- Do you have correct station addresses?
- are you going to use Modbus protocool?
