Delta-V Application Station Error

I am currently having an issue on Application Station running on version 7.2 after upgrading the license for OPC Server. The license has been uploaded in Pro+ and assigned to designated Application station. But when we try to download the setup data, we receive error message "Node lacks one or more capabilities: NVM" thus unable to generate the download files. See attached screenshot. I would appreciate if someone can help me on this.

  • NVM stands for non-volatile memory.

This applies to the virtual controller used for assigning modules to the app station.

I suspect that you may have too many modules or too many 'restore parameter after restart' assignments for modules assigned to the app station.

Actually, the Application does not have "NVM".  NVM is physically installed on controllers and used to store the download for cold restart and also to store critical values from control modules so that the module can restart with these values after a power failure.

Did a quick check of the SMS database and confirmed that Application Station does not support the Restore Parameter after Restart option, and to remove this from any parameters downloaded to the virtual controller.

Reading the error message, it is clear it states that NVM is not supported on the Virtual Controller so the feature cannot be used.

Thanks for the research.  Clearly, I was shooting from the hip.
