Some Workstations not Receivng Alarms

Strange problem with a single OP station (3 stations on one console with identical config and area assignments, and same user) yet only two stations receive alarms from certain modules.

I've traced it to modules residing in an APP station (which has approx 3000 modules), setup data downloaded, modules downloaded, but still I can't get the alarms to appear on the OP station in question?!?!

What can I be missing?

  • You stated three workstations
    on one console.. this is a remote
    Client set up? Have you checked if
    Alarm filtering has been enabled
    through Operate on the session?
    Have you tried deleting and recreating the session? What area is the app station module assigned to?

    Did you log all the way out of the Op station?  I usually have to log all the way out (DeltaV and windows login) before recently assigned alarms/areas will show up on a particular Operate station.

    When you call up a module faceplate, does the alarm show there?

    Yep tried logging off and even rebooting the WorkStation, nothing worked. It turned out to be an issue with the Redundant OPC application station, the modules that weren't appearing were traced to the APP station.  Forcing a switch over caused the missing alarms to appear....very strange but got it working.
