Why is the purpose of "CHAMRS_INT_IODEF" in MiMiC ? & do we have any solution for virtualized CHARM SX controller?
The CHARMS_INT_IODEF is used in conjuction with the MiMic CIOC/VCIOC driver to write directly to the CHARMS IO layer instead of the SIMULATE_IN and SIMULATE_IN_D module values. The CHARMS_INT_IODEF may write to either physical CIOCs or virtual CIOCs that have been Simulate CHARMS enabled.
There is no publicly available virtual controller solution at this time. Per the Emerson Exchange 2011 virtualization roadmap, virtual controller support for testing and operator training will likely be included in DeltaV v12. However, virtual CIOCs are currently available from Emerson and may be used in conjunction with physical controllers or the DeltaV Simulate suite for simulation and testing.
