Alarm Banner Filter by Priority without affecting what is shown on Alarmlist Display

Sorry if this is topic has already been addressed. I found several previous posts but not sure they cover my question.

What options do I have to show only level 14 priority alarms on main alarm banner but still show all alarms assigned in  on alarm list display?

I'm running V13.3.1 PCSD.

I read that edits in the Alarm Threshold section of the User Settings script might work. Looks like you define a threshold and it shows everything above. I also read that if I do that, the Alarmlist display will only show the alarms and events assigned to the workstation that are above the threshold defined in the User Settings Alarm Threshold.

Can anyone help clarify or give advice?

Thanks!

Scott

  • The alarm list can be disassociated from the banner. The banner is set with global variables/standards and the Alarm List is by default set to follow the banner.

Thanks Andre. I have seen where the alarm thresholds can adjust the banner. I haven't seen where the alarm list is defined or possibly disassociated with the banner. Any advice on breaking the list from the banner? The PCSD faceplates appear to drag in the alarm values as well. I assume they are tied to the priorities assigned in alarms and events on each workstation.

I'd want to maintain the alarms on the faceplates and alarm list but only show one particular priority on the banner.

In DeltaV Live, it is under Alarms heading

In Operate, there is something similar in the properties of the Alarm List

When you disassociate form the banner, you get to select what the Alarm List will incldue.

Note that you can have multiple alarm lists in the system, each with different Filtering and span of alarms.
