Version control error when trying to commission wireless gateway

I am trying to commission a new wireless gateway on our network. When I drag it from Decommissioned nodes in DeltaV Explorer to Wireless I/O it gives an error saying it could not due to version control. When I try to check out Wireless I/O in Explorer, I get the error: "Unable to find component RMT_1420. Unspecified error". I cannot commission the gateway as a result. I have searched online and in Books Online and can't find anything. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  Try synchornizing the vcat on your system and see if it will let you check it out/in then.
  
  1) From DeltaV Explorer, highlight Wireless Gateway Network.
  2) Go to Tools > Version Control > Synchronize > Selected item
