Hi, good morning.
We are needing to read/write data from a lab instrument via OPC UA. Instrument is a UA server and we are using UA Client on an App Station. Delta Version is 14.3
When browsing for signals online, we can see the full list of tags, and read values for them, but some items cannot be configured as a UA signal. The data types we are unable to configure as UA Signals are Double and DateTime.
Additionally we are needing to write string data to the instruments, but it appears that OPC UA is only able to read strings.
Any suggestions how to read Double (64 bits) and write string data through OPC UA? Is this functionality available in a Feature Paco or in a later version of DeltaV?
