Continuous Historian Average/Min/Max on Live?

Is it possible to show Daily Average values on DeltaV Live as it's shown on Charts? Same for Minimum/Maximum/Total?

  • No. The aggregate values calculated in PHV Charts is done by the PHV application. The Embedded Charts in Live do not perform these calculations.

Production totals and averages are typically calculated at run time in Control Modules. One could add Min/Max values to such a module, but these would be based on the reset period of the module, not a time span based on a visual chart, which is what PHV does. These values are intended for added context to the operator, based on the specified time of the chart. To get a daily average, you would need to set the CHART time span to match the daily 24 hour period. This also certainly doable, but you cannot pull the values into a display or KPI object.

The DeltaV Reporter can access aggregate values from the historian, so you can pull totals, averages and min/max values into a report, and by setting the time span to the daily start stop times, this would provide the information in reports, in Excel

We have XL Reporter. Can it also aggregated values from Charts (phv)? If yes how? Because I don't see this feature

Asking because, XL Reporter is able to access Average/Min/Max via Continuous Historian connector but it does not print/show while printing report. XL Reporter is getting instantaneous values but no historian point

XLReporter's charting is the same as charting found in the Excel workbook. If you can find an on-line Excel template for your needs, you can import it into XLReporter.
