Syncade Provides Local User Account Redundancy

Syncade provides the ability to integrate user accounts with Active Directory or other authentication services for user access and control.   The application also provides the ability to maintain user accounts locally and generally this is where the Administration accounts reside.

Several years back there was a very invasive worm that infiltrated one of our Life Sciences client sites and it resulted in SAP (and the link with Syncade) as well as the authentication website being down for several days.  The client was able to convert several of the Active Directory accounts to local accounts within minutes and continue plant level production with local user accounts with Syncade until SAP and the authentication sites were restored.  The user accounts followed the same password rules as Active Directory, provided the same audit trail entries and were easily converted back to domain authentication once the issue was solved.
