Is it possible to perform hard reset to a Gateway 1420 vers. 2014. The Board is the next picture. Thanks.
Yes, there is a dip switch in the lower middle of the circuit board. It has three switches. You need to put switch 2 in the ON position and cycle power. This will do a hard reset which means the gateway is going to go back to factory settings. You are going to have to connect using the default IP address to connect and then reconfigure everything. Be sure to set the switch back to OFF when you are done to make sure it doesn't accidently do a hard reset if there is a power glitch.
If you are just trying to connect and can't remember the IP address and don't want to lose all the configuration, you might try connecting to Port 2 and use the Port 2 default address.
