What kind of input does the MPFM need in order to operate?

Like all inline multiphase meters, PVT data, i.e. phase densities, for oil, water and gas at the prevailing P&T is required. In addition, the permittivity (aka di-electric constant) of the oil is needed. If the Water-Liquid-Ratio is high (> ~60% ), then the salinity or conductivity (at reference temperature) of the water is also an input parameter, unless the Roxar Salinity System is installed. If that is installed, then the water conductivity will be measured automatically and fed back to the MPFM flow computer. The figure shows the flow of PVT data input to the MPFM from the initial hydrocarbon fluid analysis to the end results of flow rates at actual (red arrow) and standard conditions (blue arrow).
