DRDC (DeltaV Remote Desktop Connection) access for domain non-admin(non HyperV admin) based users?

The customer requirement is to have an access for DRDC for domain non-admin(non HyperV Admin) users to access Virtual Application Servers.

If above solution is not possible, is it possible through Microsoft RDP or any other solution?

The RDP session is allowed to Admins so that they can remotely administer the server. There is only one RDP session allowed, and no concurrent users, even Admin accounts are allowed. The RDP session takes over the local session. For non-admin users to access an RDP session on a server, you must install the Remote Desktop Role. This is not supported on DeltaV Application Stations.

Note, there are no User level DeltaV programs that run on an Application station. Which begs the question why the customer is requiring RDP access to the Application Stations? Is there a third party application installed to which such users require access? This application should be moved to a separate RD Server that would allow users to log in via RDP to access the application. The application would then use OPC to access DeltaV data.

If the Application Station is installed as a Workstation (Windows 10) rather than Server 2016, the local RD session can be enabled which would allow non-Admin users to connect via RDP. DRDC is intended for Operator Station connections on a Thin Client network. It may work if the Application station is running the workstation side of the connection. Note that only one user can connect at a time as this is not an RD Server. The RDP connection disconnects the local monitor/kb if someone is logged on.
