Hello,
Recently we made several changes to a VMs hardware configuration which as we expected broke the replication. Through Hyper-V Manager we disabled replication and Deleted the replica of the VM. When we attempted to re-enable replication we are getting an error from DVS indicating that it failed to enable replication. Looking at the local cluster storage I identified that a folder containing the .VMH files still existed even after we used the "Delete VM" function. In attempt to fix the replication issue I first tried to rename the folder containing the replicate files on the shared cluster storage, but that did not work. I then restored the name and moved the folder containing the replica files off the cluster shared storage, but that did not fix the replication issue. I've since returned everything back to the original state where we first noticed the replication error.
Has anyone seen this before and fixed it?
Thanks,
Wes
